A partner at private bank Brown Brothers Harriman is the likely buyer who paid a recorded $6.7 million for a house at 341 Garden Road on the North End of Palm Beach.
Hampton S. Lynch Jr. bought the house, according to the deed recorded Monday.
The property was sold a limited liability company controlled venture capitalist Gregory C. Borchardt, who lived there with his wife, private-equity specialist Brodi Jackson Brochardt, and their family.
Lynch is head of private banking for New York City-based Brown Brothers Harriman. The buyer owns no other property in Palm Beach County under his name, records show.
Borchardt is managing partner at Caerus Ventures, a West Palm Beach venture-capital company. He co-founded the firm with his wife, who goes professionally Brodi Jackson. She also has the title managing partner in the firm, which invests in early-stage technology companies.
The four-bedroom house, completed in 2004, is three lots west of the lakefront and about a quarter-mile north of the Palm Beach Country Club. Architect Harold Smith of Smith and Moore Architects designed it with 6,006 square feet of living space, inside and out.
Broker Christian Angle of Christian Angle Real Estate listed the house in September at $7.495 million and had it under contract
